Monday- Block schedule: Periods 1, 3 & 5. “Positive vibes.”  Write words of encouragement on cards during lunch.

Tuesday-  Block schedule: Periods 2, 4 & 6. Tutoring and detention after school, 3-4 PM.

Wednesday – Regular early release schedule; AVID college wear day; “We’re rooting for you.” Ice cream float giveaway during lunches in the MPR; staff meeting after school with department meetings to follow; band pictures all day. 

Thursday – Block schedule: Periods 1, 3 & 5. Club shirt day; “Encouragement.” Find hidden encouragement cards and return for a prize. Tutoring and detention after school, 3-4 PM; School Site Council, 3 PM in library; Board meeting-6PM

Friday –  Block schedule: Periods 2, 4 & 6. EMS dress up day! “Keeping our cool with testing.” Wear sunglasses to celebrate the completion of the first week of testing.

Thursday – Before school tutoring and detention, 7:30-8:30 AM; after school tutoring and detention, 3-4 PM.  See the schedule posted in classrooms or the office for locations; Club shirt day.

Friday –  EMS Spirit Wear Day!  Celebrate the warm weather by wearing Hawaiian print clothes.

Start the year with a positive growth mindset. Look to find areas of growth and set goals.

Set a goal and post it on the board during lunch with Mrs. Martinez to earn a prize.

Wednesday – AVID college wear day; Drop/cover/fire drill-2nd period; Expectations assembly make-up during 4th period; staff meeting after school in library with leadership meeting to follow.

Thursday – Club shirt day; picture day during PE classes.

Friday –  EMS Spirit Wear Day!  Wear your Tiger Gear or red, white and black;  Student contract due to 1st period teachers.

ROAR Focus – Organization       

Use your planner/agenda to organize your work, and to write down assignments and due dates. Stay of top of your work to avoid stress.

Show Mrs. Martinez at lunch that you have used your planner for the day and receive a prize all this week!

Thursday – Club shirt day. Wear your shirt from a club or organization on campus.

Friday –  EMS Spirit Wear Day!  Wear your favorite team’s jersey or other gear! ASB games at lunch.

Tuesday-  Teacher work day.  Para-educator and teacher meeting, 9 AM in the staff lounge.

Wednesday – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND ROAR DAY! Early release, minimum day.
