Social Media and cyber Safety - Parent Workshop

Good morning EMS Tiger families.  Now more than ever, the responsible and safe use of social media is so important as we work through distance learning due to school closures.  Cyber safety education for our students and their families is something we take very seriously and we're excited to offer our parents a unique workshop to better educate yourselves on how to support and guide your students through the use of social media.  We are offering our parents a free workshop online that is created by Cyber Safety Cop, a group of police officers who have dedicated themselves to educating students and their families.  Attached are flyers in English and Spanish that explain the workshop along with discussion questions to have with your student after your training.

We are also educating our students with a virtual assembly in their English classes this Tuesday that covers the same topics but in a message more geared toward youth. Below are the links to both the English and Spanish trainings and they will be active to visit between today, November 14 through November 21. You are welcome to view the training as much as you like and we hope you take away important tips and strategies to support your student with responsible use of social media. Enjoy, and thank you for your support of EMS!
