Dear Elsinore Middle School Students and Families,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Elsinore Middle School. My name is Shawna Pedretti, and I am entering my 20^th year working in LEUSD. I taught English for 13 years at Lakeside High School and I served for 6 years as an Assistant Principal at Elsinore High School. In addition to that, I, myself, am a product of LEUSD, having attending school from 4^th grade through 12^th grade in this district.

As we embark on this new academic year together, my foremost commitment is to foster a nurturing environment where every student feels valued, supported, and motivated to achieve their full potential. I firmly believe that a positive school culture is foundational to academic growth and personal development. At EMS, we will cultivate a safe and inclusive space where each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Elsinore Middle School we are not just focused on education but also on developing critical thinking skills, creativity, and a passion for lifelong learning. Through a curriculum that is both rigorous and innovative, we aim to equip our students with the tools they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Estoy encantado de presentarme como el nuevo director de la Elsinore Middle School. Mi nombre es Shawna Pedretti y estoy por cumplir 20 años trabajando en LEUSD. Enseñé inglés durante 13 años en Lakeside High School y trabajé durante 6 años como subdirector en Elsinore High School. Además de eso, yo mismo soy producto de LEUSD y he asistido a la escuela desde el 4º grado hasta el 12º grado en este distrito.

Al embarcarnos juntos en este nuevo año académico, mi principal compromiso es fomentar un ambiente enriquecedor donde cada estudiante se sienta valorado, apoyado y motivado para alcanzar su máximo potencial. Creo firmemente que una cultura escolar positiva es fundamental para el crecimiento académico y el desarrollo personal. En EMS, cultivaremos un espacio seguro e inclusivo donde cada estudiante pueda prosperar académica, social y emocionalmente.

En Elsinore Middle School no solo nos enfocamos en la educación sino también en desarrollar habilidades de pensamiento crítico, creatividad y pasión por el aprendizaje permanente. A través de un plan de estudios que es a la vez riguroso e innovador, nuestro objetivo es equipar a nuestros estudiantes con las herramientas que necesitan para tener éxito en un mundo en constante cambio.
