Exciting Elective Opportunties at EMS - Zero & 7th Period Options Now Available for 2025-2026 school year

Students now have the opportunity to take more than one elective by enrolling in a zero period (before school) and/or a 7th period (after school). These are regular academic classes—attendance will be taken and grades will be issued. No special transportation will be provided; guardians must provide transportation to school for zero period and home for 7th period.

Zero Period runs from 7:30 AM – 8:21 AM
7th Period runs from 3:00 PM – 3:51 PM

Please note: These classes will only be offered if enough students sign up to participate.

Here are the classes being offered:

Music Fusion 🎶  with Mrs. Dinger (Zero Period Only, 7:30–8:21 AM)
Explore choir, band, piano, guitar, and music appreciation all in one class. Whether your child loves to sing, wants to try an instrument, or is curious about music’s connection to culture and emotion—this class has it all! *No experience required.*

Makers Studio Mashup with Mr. Wiley (Zero Period or 7th Period)
Hands-on learning in woodworking, 3D design, graphic arts, animation, and arts & crafts—tailored to student interests. A creative, student-driven class where ideas come to life!

3D Design & Prototyping with Mr. Huang (Zero Period or 7th Period)
Students will use beginner-friendly software like Tinkercad to design 3D models and bring them to life using 3D printers. A great way to build creativity and design-thinking skills!
