Hello parents of 6th and 7th graders,
Elective selection for the next school year is coming up soon for EMS! This is the time when students get to choose their elective class. Electives let students explore their interests, try something new, and discover new skills.
If your child is interested in joining ASB, PLUS or Yearbook and Photography, then they will need to complete an application. Once an application is submitted the coordinator of the program will review the application and will invite some students to interview. Not all students that apply will be accepted into the special elective. ASB, PLUS, and Yearbook look for students who are responsible, motivated, and willing to work as part of a team.
Select students will be invited to an interview between January 26 and February 5, but not everyone who applies will receive an interview.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, January 22 at midnight.
All other electives can be selected during Course Selection in February.
