This is Shawna Pedretti, your principal. The 2026–27 school year is off to a great start in LEUSD and we hope everyone is settling into the new school year!
I’m excited to share one of our largest community events is coming up. Our annual Lake Elsinore Unified School District College & Career Expo and we would love to see you and your family there!

📍 Ortega High School
This year’s Expo is bigger and better, with colleges, universities, trade schools, career representatives, and our LEUSD high school CTE programs all coming together in one place to help our students explore what’s possible after high school.
And we have something special for our middle school families!
From 4:30–5:30 p.m., middle school students and families are invited to our Middle School Power Hour to get an inside look at the CTE programs and opportunities available at our high schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for our middle school students to start exploring options and thinking ahead about high school and beyond.
Then, beginning at 5:30 p.m., the Expo is open to everyone! Whether your student is in elementary school, middle school, or high school, there will be something for your family to explore.
College, career, CTE, high school opportunities, and life after graduation can feel like a long way off; but the best time to start exploring is now!
So, SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, September 29, and join us at Ortega High School from 4:30–7:30 p.m. for an evening of exploration and opportunities for our students.
