Welcome to the 23-24 school year!

This year I join the Tiger Family as the New Academic and Engagement Specialist. My role is to build bridges-connecting students, teachers, and families to the resources they need to be successful. I strive to support the school community to make the middle school years exciting and memorable, filled with tons of learning opportunities and new adventures for our students.

ABOUT ME:

I have taught middle school for 17 years. I have taught in the following subjects:

-ELA/SS (grade 6)

-AVID teacher (grades 6 and 8)

-SEL elective teacher (grades 6,7,8)

-Intervention and GATE teacher (grade 6)

I am also a Yoga certified instructor and Wellness Champion from Breathe for Change.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:

I have two daughters (grade 5 and 7), stepson (grade 9), and a stepdaughter (grade 7). My husband is in the Marine Corp about to be medically retired, and we live in Menifee with our labradoodle named Ram (named after a character in novel I have read for years with my students. Yes, I am a former English teacher…aka bookworm.)
