Have you met Melville Dewey?  Born on December 10, 1851, Dewey created the Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC) while working as a student assistant in a college library at just 21 years of age! 
His system of organizing books is still in use today in libraries all over the world!  For all of his contributions to Library Science through the years, he is fondly known as the "Father of Modern Librarianship".  .
